Lenin and his socialism can kiss my…

Vladimir Lenin, the communist revolutionary who ushered in the world’s first socialist state by creating  the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic  once said, quite profoundly, “Socialized medicine is the keystone to the arch of the socialist state.”

In other words if you decided to turn your country into a socialist nation and you made a to-do list, you would write…

1. Socialize Medicine.

Obama, pulled out his checklist, and mark number one off his list.

Socialism is the enemy of capitalism.  Several years ago the website for the Socialist Worker Party wrote an article talking about when the American Medical Association created a campaign to combat John F. Kennedy’s plan for government healthcare.  A commercial that was created for the campaign had Ronald Reagan responding by saying the following.

Now, back in 1927, an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket, said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism, the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program…

One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project…Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it.

The Socialist Workers party obviously reported on this in disgust. But I find myself yelling in the middle of Crispers, (It’s a salad place with Wifi. No beer though) YES!!!!! That’s it exactly.  Under the name of all that is good and “liberalism” will American’s usher in the age of socialism.

Now what frightens me is what’s next?

If I were a betting girl, I would say the next thing would be our banking and financial system.  Which has been already systematically under attack with ridiculous regulations and government involvement.   And never was there a time more obvious than of late when JP Morgan lost a couple billion in trades BUT had to apologize to the government.  And the government has since swooped down on them like a predatory bird.  If you lose your own money, it sucks.  But it’s none of the governments damn business. (And yes, I’ll make concessions for obvious reasons like the American public needing to be protected.  But right now I just see the American public needing to be protected from our Government.)

At this point yes, it’s speculation that Obama would want to nationalize our banking system.  But I don’t think it’s that far fetched of an idea now that we have watched our heatlthcare system take a nose dive into socialism.  But little clues like a recent article I wrote I feel are warning signs being shot across the bough.

The awesome Jim Pethokoukis, whose named I recently butchered on a podcast, sorry about that Jim, published a story that jumped off the page, slapped me across the face and called me Betty.  (That means it stood out.) His story on the American Interprise Institute was titled,  The CBO just poured cold water on Obama’s idea for a national infrastructure bank.  He explains a national infrastructure bank would be used to finance highway and rail construction.

It’s just more power to the statists and the Government and less power to the people.

But Obama keeps telling us every thing he does is for the greater good for ALL of us.  Right?

Lenin is often attributed with also saying,  “A lie told often enough becomes the truth.”
